We offer a variety of opportunities for any child 5-18 interested in theatre including main-stage productions, workshops(both acting and technical) and summer camps. Tap II (some experience) 5:15-6:15 4 week session $40 If unsure which class sign up for Tap I for the 1st session- Christi may move you to Tap II after evaluation Student must provide tap shoes Click here for registration:TAP-Reg-form.pdf	New Day Children's Theatre presents INTO THE WOODS in the Fall of 2012 for 2 weekends November 2-6 and 9-11 AUDITIONS will be Saturday, JUNE 23 10A-12P Sunday, JUNE 24 2P-4P with call backs JUNE 25th at 6:30 auditions will be held at New Day Studio OR The Harrell Performing Arts Theatre TBD Stay tuned to website for final location Ages 12-18 Preparation: Please prepare 16 bars from a song from Into The Woods appropriate for your voice. Bring sheet music or recorded accompaniment (iPod or CD) Rehearsals will begin Tuesday, August 14th, 2012 Start getting ready it is going to be another Fantastic New Day Production! Come join us for this exciting new opportunity made possible with help from a grant from the Collierville Community Fund. We are forming The PAGE ROBBINS PLAYERS, a group of 10-12 students ages 10-18. Students will rehearse 2 days a week for 8-10 weeks and then perform at Page Robbins Adult Day Care at 3:00pm-4:00pm the afternoon of March 29th, June 28th and September 27th. There will be auditions each quarter and a new group of players for each performance. This allow more students to participate throughout the program and it will not require a year long commitment from any one student. Each performance will have a different theme and will include music and poetry. There will be no cost to students who participate. SECOND SESSION DETAILS: Patriotic Theme AUDITIONS: SATURDAY, April 21st , 2:30pm-4:30pm at New Day Studio This show will feature music from Irving Berlin and George M Cohan. Cast needs are 10-12 students - equal boys and girls if possible. Must be available from 3:00pm-4:00pm on June 28th for performance at Page Robbins. Rehearsals will be Mondays 6pm-7:30pm and Saturdays from 2:30pm-4:30pm beginning Saturday, April 28th. Any potential conflicts must be discussed with Ms. Lisa at auditions AUDITION PREPARATION: No preparation needed-we will learn a song at auditions We are so excited about this opportunity for New Day to share our love of theatre with our friends at Page Robbins.
FUN FRIDAY No Open Mic night in March---IT'S OPENING NIGHT FOR TALES --come join us at The Harrell Theatre Ages 9-18 7:00--8:30 at the New Day Studio First Friday of Each Month We host open mic night where kids can come and perform a song, monologue, poetry reading for an audience of their peers. Enjoy a fun time of hanging our with friends and learning a little about theatre. Join us for this fun time with friends. We have a microphone and sound system available. If you need accompaniment you can bring IPOD or CD. We also have a piano available. Bring $5 for admission. THIRD FRIDAY:THEATRE GAMES AGES 4-10 Every Third Friday 6:00-8:00 January 20th, February 17th, March 16th, April 20th, May 18th, June 15th, July 20th, Sept 21st, Oct 19th We will offer age appropriate theatre games for our younger friends. They will learn about stage presence, creative movement and working with their peers. Our director will be Jennifer Daniels. Cost $10 per child.
MATCH GRANT 2011 Our MATCH GRANT 2011 was an OVERWHELMING SUCCESS---Thank you to all who participated. With your help we were able to raise over $12,000. With our match it became just over $22,000. We can set the bar higher in 2012 and continue to make New Day Children's Theatre a remarkable place. With your help, children can be introduced to a place where they can learn and grow, dive in to their creative abilities and bringing out the inner actor, painter, stage manager in those who want to participate. We cannot continue our record of success without the help from friends and supporters of the arts. There is no better investment than in the children of our community. New Day would not be a success without the support of our community and friends. We appreciate everyone who believes in us and sees the value in a theatre program dedicated to our children.
